Clothing Swap GAGA - Greater Austin Garbage Arts
Clothing swap 12-5 sat and sunday Workshops using re-claimed materials on a rotating schedule.
GAGA, or Greater Austin Garbage Arts, is a co-op comprised of a group of artists and visionaries concerned with the effects and impact of waste materials on our environment. The work that we enjoy most is our work with children, whether it is teaching sewing lessons, or junk art workshops. We have been invited into classrooms, and have hosted after-school programs in a local AISD elementary school. We are simply offering children alternatives to the consumerist mentality our culture has created. Children are supremely gifted when it comes to imagining a different approach, and this is especially important as they will be the leaders for alternative methods for our future generations.

Both have completed the Sivananda, traditional Hatha yoga teacher training coarse, and Chris has continued his studies with the advanced practitioner coarse. Chris comes to Austin from his 4 year residency teaching yoga at the University of NM. Cat is also a certified Doula and midwife assistant, which brought her to Austin as well. She has spent most of her time assisting natural childbirth and focuses most of her teaching towards the well being of women and their babies.
